And thanks for the treasure trove that is Just Hungry - it's pretty much my go-to nowadays when I need to look up something regarding Japanese cooking.

(Have to add that I'm using the recipe you posted for Irish Stout Cake with Whiskey Icing as my Christmas cake this year; I baked a sample batch last week, and it was absolutely amazing.)

Hope you feel better soon. Thanks so much for sharing all your love of food and bento knowledge. I'm coeliac so can't eat any gluten and find your bento ideas inspiring for cold lunch ideas.

I also love all the japan culture stuff - we went on our honeymoon there years ago and loved so much. although, sadly I think it would be too difficult to go back now I have to strictly avoid gluten.

Load up on trashy ebooks, soppy movies, lots of SyFy reruns and have The Guy sneak in some yaki onigiri and real Japanese tea. All those + chutzpah and humor will get you through.
