More news about Marc Meneau's difficulties (French, Le Figaro). Somehow, this doesn't surprise me, if one can judge a restaurant from just one visit...it was really good but there was not the air of comfortable success one senses at other restaurants.

I totally agree; the comments on Bruni's blog remind me, too, of what I don't miss about NY.
I don't think anyone enjoys the behavior of an obvious tourist but I but I don't think tourists should be referred to as "horde[s] of sows" either...
