Yay! I actually found out about IMBB's category before it closed this time! I can't wait. You'll have my entry in a week or so.

I've never participated in an IMBB before, but I've always wanted to. I've also been meaning to try out some cupcake recipes, so I'm definitely participating this time!

I'm in! Thanks for the idea. I recently made my favorite red velvet cupcakes (www.lovescool.com/archives/2005/02/14/valentine2005/), so I'll have to think of something new to try for this event. I can't wait to see the entries.

so are fairy cakes allowed too?

I think that fairy cakes are the same as the American interpretation of what a cupcake is...so yes they are allowed :)

Hmm, this IMBB should be interesting. Cupcakes aren't the norm in Singapore so I wonder how my family and friends would take it. But anyhow, I'm sooo looking forward to it!

As long as we don't have to make them out of "taboo" ingredients, I'm in! Actually for the Cake Walk IMBB I did make cupcakes. Should be fun to revisit. Nice one :)

Hey, I am glad I checked this out. I have been wondering for a while what IMBB stood for ... yes, I am sort of new to this blogging thing and a bit dense (good for some dishes, but not for others). Anyway, I will make oodles of cupcakes this months on the occasion of my sweeties' 4th birthday. There will be some messy, smudgy, childfriendly cupcakes coming your way.

Love the theme for this IMBB, and will be tempted by many of the recipes here. Someday I will contribute to IMBB! and maybe even start a blog.

Hmmm... The girls will like this theme! Although with April Fools Day coming up as well it is tempting to try the idea I saw somewhere, cooking mini meatloaves in muffin tins (which I do periodically) and then topping them with colored mashed potatoes to look like icing.

panasian, I wasn't sure either, so that's why I made the theme cupcakes and muffins. The participants sort of seemed to decide whether their creation was a cupcake or a muffin, and I followed their categorization!
